加藤泰史が2019年5月まで会長を務めた日本哲学会男女共同参画・若手支援ワーキンググループ（座長立教大学村上祐子氏）では、5月19日(日)、台湾国立中正大学から呉秀瑾教授、ドイツパダーボーン大学からジェシカ・ヘルメニング研究員をお招きしてワークショップ「取り組みへの考え方とグッドプラクティス」を開催した．いずれも哲学史における女性という観点から研究を進めており、女性哲学者の業績を授業に取り入れることで女性哲学者のプレゼンスを高める狙いがある．呉教授からは林素珍(日本名：林こずゑ）が日本統治時代に台湾帝国大学で台湾哲学の学士をとった唯一の人物であり、第二次世界大戦後も国立台湾大学の教員を務めたにもかかわらず、哲学史から消されていた事実を指摘した．またヘルメニング研究員からはパダーボーン大学女性哲学者の歴史センターのデジタル人文学の手法を用いた活動についての報告があった．オンラインでの女性哲学者業績紹介と女性哲学者ディレクトリ作成についても、ネットワーキングを行うだけではなく、哲学の営みにおける女性哲学者のプレゼンスを高めるため必須であると指摘された．

The working group of support for underrepresented philosophers and young philosophers held the workshop “Promotion of women philosophers: good practices” at the annual conference 2019, featuring Professor Shiu-Ching Wu (National Chung Cheng University, Taiwan) and Dr. Jessica Hermening (Paderborn University, Germany). Both speakers pointed out that referring and mentioning work of women philosophers in philosophical activities promotes women philosophers. History of women philosophers facilitates such references. Professor Wu illustrates the Taiwanese situation with Su-Qing Lin, who earned the degree in philosophy in the Taiwan Imperial University under Japanese occupation, worked as a faculty member at the National Taiwan University after WWII, but was forgot in the history of the department of philosophy there. Dr. Hermening introduces the activities of the Center of History of Women Philosophers and Scientists at Paderborn University, which include digitalization of work of women philosophers for easy reference in research and education. Explicit lists of women philosophers and their work are essential for gender equality.
